If you're human at some point in time you have felt unmotivated. This is natural for all great artists and successful people. At some point in time the work has become monotonous and boring.
The ones who break through this barrier are the ones who end up realizing their goals. In this post, we aim to give you applicable tips for you to keep motivated when the inevitable lows of the journey arise.
#1 - Commit
When you commit to something, you are more inclined to work through being unmotivated.
Here are levels of commitment however for you to use with yourself:
Commitment to yourself
Commitment to others
Financial commitments
A mix between all of these creates power for you to stay motivated long past being unmotivated.
#2 - Surround yourself with motivated people
The environment you put yourself in is one of, if not the most important element for you to stay motivated.
It is quite simple. If you are around lazy, unhappy, and unmotivated people, you will be lazy, unhappy, and unmotivated.
Make the hard choice to switch up your friends if this is applicable to you. This one change alone will improve your life forever.
"You become the average of the five people you spend the most time with" – Jim Rohn
#3 - Do something different
If you want something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done.
Be honest with yourself. If you feel burnt out and unmotivated, switch it up. Change up your day to day activities and find out what works best for keeping you focused and motivated towards your goals.
If you want more success in music, focus more on making success for your music. This can take form of research, practice, reading, studying, and overall doing the things that have made others successful.
#4 - Momentum
Have you ever had a day where everything seems to be going in the right direction?
Of course you have! This is momentum. It feels great doesn't it? A great way to stay motivated is to add on to motivation you already have. This is easier than picking yourself up out of a rut, but increases the motivation you have cultivated.
#5 - What motivates me?
Ask yourself this question.
Sit with it. Write it down. Then do it!
Which One Did You Like The Most?
0%#1 Commit
0%#2 Surround yourself with motivated people
0%#3 Do something different
